Her Digital Coffee is officially two years old! Time truly flies when you’re having fun. Last year, I collected several questions from fellow bloggers to celebrate Her Digital Coffee turning one. This year, I thought I’d share some of the things that I’ve learned throughout this journey, the highlights, and some behind the scenes updates!
What I’ve learned…
1) Blogging requires consistent effort and it’s much more than just creating posts or designing a website. I’ve found that creating and growing multiple social media accounts has taken the most amount of time. Not to mention the time spent learning how to use new tools along the way.
2) Blogging requires patience. If you don’t reach your goals within the first six months, year, or longer, that’s okay. Check in with yourself routinely and determine what’s working, what’s not, and start making adjustments for improvement.
3) Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and ask for what you want. Whether it’s a collaboration with another blogger or a partnership with your favorite brand. As Nora Roberts said, “If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.”
Highlights
• HDC was featured in CanvasRebel Magazine last month. I enjoyed sharing my story with a community of aspiring artists in the creatives space. It was a great experience and I have another interview coming up that I can’t wait to share with you soon!
• We recently switched over to a new hosting provider, which means less downtime and better connection. Despite the high prices with our previous provider of two years, the quality of service was lacking and I’m glad we’ll be experiencing less interruptions.
• Back in March, I announced that our posting schedule would be changing. I went from posting twice a week down to just once a week. This decision has given me the time to take on multiple projects at a time, and it’s been working out very successfully.
What I’m working on…
• There are several upcoming collaborative projects in the works that I’m excited to share with you soon, including that interview I mentioned earlier.
• It’s been a busy few months and you may have noticed a lack in book reviews. I’m currently reading Riley Sager’s The Only One Left and I’m hoping to finish it in the next few weeks so I can have the review up soon.
• I’m looking forward to staying ahead of schedule and bringing you along with me for my summer adventures on social media. I’m also very excited to start planning content for fall. It’s my favorite season and I had a blast last year coming up with ideas.
Blogging has been such an incredible and fulfilling journey. It’s taught me how rewarding it can be to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. I’m so grateful to have attracted such a loving audience from around the world. Thank you for your continued support and here’s to many more years to come! What are you excited for this month?
