Father’s Day weekend is here! Are you looking for last minute activities to enjoy with your dad or the father figure in your life? If so, I’ve got 7 outdoor activities the whole family will love! Spending time with your loved ones creates a stronger bond. There’s nothing better than enjoying the outdoors, getting some exercise, all while creating priceless memories for many years to come!
1) Rock Climbing Have you been to a climbing center? If not, now’s the time to discover something new! Rock climbing is a great physical activity that’s both challenging and fun. It’s a great way to get active all while creating new memories together. Rock climbing rates in my city are quite affordable, they range anywhere from $18 – $22 for the full day.
2) Hiking There’s nothing better than spending time in nature with loved ones. Whether you plan on visiting an area that you’re familiar with or visiting a new spot, you can be certain it’ll be a day filled with adventure! If your dad is into photography or birdwatching, he can bring his equipment along!
3) Biking Biking is a great physical activity. There are so many great parks in the city with beautiful views that make biking a ton of fun. You can even pack a light lunch and settle down for a mini picnic mid-day!
4) River Rafting Spend Father’s Day on the water and admire nature’s beauty. You can easily reserve your spots online and choose anywhere from 2 to 5-hour rafting adventures. You may choose a local raft trip or if you’re feeling adventurous, take a road trip and admire the Canadian Rockies in Jasper.
5) Camping Camping is a wonderful way to reconnect with nature and spend time with your loved ones. If camping is an activity that your family does often, try venturing off to new camping grounds! Power off your devices, leave the stress behind, and sleep under the stars.
6) Movie Night Out Movie nights are my favorite. There’s nothing better than experiencing a film you’ve been looking forward to on the big screen. It gives you an opportunity to spend time a night out, bond, share some laughs, and indulge in some delicious buttery popcorn. Some action-packed suggestions include Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World Domination, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
7) Local Activities If you’re looking for something different, discover an array of events and activities that are happening locally. Some unique events taking place in my city for Father’s Day include a safari themed brunch, breakfast fundraiser, beer and BBQ fest, chocolate workshop, and an outdoor rock show. What events are taking place in yours?
What are your plans for Father’s Day? Are there any activities on this list that you’ll be enjoying together? Are there any activities you’d like to add? I’d love to hear your thoughts! If you’re looking for gift ideas, visit my latest post here.
