4ocean is on a mission to end the ocean plastic crisis. They’ve funded a global ocean cleanup operation that has recovered millions of pounds of trash from the oceans, rivers, and coastlines. It all begin in 2015 when Alex Schulze and Andrew Cooper took a surf trip to Bali, Indonesia. Schulze and Cooper were stunned by the severity of the ocean plastic crisis and its impact on both the marine life and on the coastal communities.

Schulze and Cooper took action by creating a company that would hire boat captains and fishermen in these communities as full-time cleanup crew members. Since 2017, a total of 20,599,090 lbs of trash have been recovered from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines. From day one, Schulze and Cooper strived to develop new and innovated products from materials recovered from the ocean to raise awareness.
4ocean has cleanup divisions in Florida, Bali, Haiti, and Guatemala, and recovers millions of pounds of trash from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines every year. We’ve introduced countless sustainable and reusable products including a line of affordable single-use alternatives that continues to grow, and, thanks to our One Pound Promise, have made it possible for anyone, anywhere to clean the ocean.

How We Can Help
4ocean promises to remove one pound of trash from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines with any purchase from their shop. 4ocean’s One Pound Promise makes it easy to show your support from anywhere in the world! Their shop includes a variety of products that we can all appreciate and use. Whether it’s recycled bracelets and jewelry, reusable bags, apparel, or single-use alternatives, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. These products make such thoughtful gifts, especially with Valentine’s Day just weeks away.
One example of a great Valentine’s Day gift is their Sterling Silver Earring and Necklace Set. This set promises to remove two pounds of trash. As mentioned previously, Schulze and Cooper wanted to create products with material recovered from the ocean to raise awareness. This beautiful duo is made from plastic that 4ocean crews recovered directly from the beaches of Oahu, Hawaii. It’s in available in two gorgeous shades, Hawaii Blue and my personal favorite, Florida Pink.
4ocean offers a way for everyone all around the world to help end the ocean plastic crisis. Each bracelet, earring, t-shirt, and reusable water bottle is a way to start a very important conversation. Let’s remind one another to be mindful of our plastic consumption. Is there anything from their shop that caught your eye? Let me know in the comments!
