Sleep plays a crucial role in our mental and physical health, but according to Statistics Canada, over 2.2 million Canadians could be struggling with a sleep disorder. It may come as no surprise because many of us, myself included, have struggled with getting a good night’s rest.

From living in a fast-paced society with tight deadlines, to trying to get enough “me time” by catching up on our shows and social media content, many of us continue scrolling even when tucked in bed. The daily stress along with the blue lights from our screens can actually disrupt our sleep patterns and melatonin production, which can make it harder to fall asleep.
It’s a vicious cycle that many of us battle, but I’m here to share how red-light therapy can help you sleep better. Let’s discover how you can get good quality sleep with Helight.
About Helight
Helight is a patented sleep aid device that is a 100% safe and natural solution for insomnia. It uses red light therapy that emits a precise narrow bandwidth wavelength and has a calibrated timing protocol, diffusion, and intensity, which is what makes it different from any red-light bulb.
Its award-winning technology is backed by science, inspired by NASA, and trusted by sleep doctors and pro athletes. Helight Sleep comes in a sleek black design, while Helight Kidzzz has playful and colorful approach that was designed with infants and children in mind. The only difference between the two are the colors, sizes, and weight.
How it Works
Once you receive your Helight device, plug it in to charge for at least 3 hours. When you’re ready for bed, press the button to turn it on and it’ll fill the room with pure red light at a wavelength of 630 nanometers for 14 minutes before it gradually fades out.
Did you know? Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, allows cells to transform light at specific wavelengths into energy. Hundreds of studies have shown the effectiveness of this wavelength range in helping with quality of sleep, seasonal depression, joint mobility, inflammation, and more.
This wavelength passes through your eyelids, which triggers a biological response in the body to promote relaxation and encourages your body to produce natural melatonin. There’s no need to worry about turning the device off, as it’ll shut off automatically after 28 minutes. The timing protocol mirrors the natural cycle of light at the end of the day, which signals to the brain to go to sleep.
My Experience
I am no stranger to poor sleeping habits; in fact, it’s something that I’ve struggled with for many years. Although I’ve been able to correct this by sticking to a schedule, exercising, and reducing the amount of caffeine intake during the day, there are other factors like stress and jetlag that can disrupt this.
I was very excited to try red-light therapy because it’s something I’ve been looking into after getting positive results from using bright light therapy to combat seasonal affective disorder. I’ve been using Helight for almost two weeks now, and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my sleep and overall relaxation.
On the first night, my mind and body fell into a deep state of relaxation. I’d compare it to the same feeling you get after a good meditation session. As someone who’s used to lying awake for hours, I was surprised that I had fallen asleep within 10 minutes of the light shutting off.
Although Helight Sleep and Helight Kidzzz are essentially the same product with a different design and weight, I still wanted to give both devices a try. Needless to say, both worked great. I woke up feeling so relaxed, well-rested, and for the first time in months the grogginess and brain fog that I had been experiencing was gone.
What I Love
• Helight’s small and compact design can easily fit in the palm of my hand, doesn’t need to plugged into the wall, and it barely takes up any space on my nightstand.
• It’s a simple and easy to use device that doesn’t require any app downloads or reoccurring monthly subscriptions.
• I prefer to sleep in the dark and I love that this device auto shuts off after 28 minutes. By the time the red-light turns off, I’m fast asleep and don’t have to worry about waking up to bright lights or having to turn it off in the morning.
• Helight Sleep also comes with a small black pouch, which makes it great for travelling. Travelling can be stressful and disrupt our body’s internal clock, so being able to bring this anywhere without worrying about it taking up any space is a huge bonus.
Conclusion
Helight Sleep has been a great addition to my nighttime routine. As someone who’s struggled with poor sleeping habits, I would have never thought getting a restful night’s sleep could be this easy. It’s encouraged me to put my devices away before bed and prioritize rest and relaxation.
Helight is a 100% natural and safe solution for insomnia. The simplicity of the design is user friendly, allowing anyone to use it easily. I would happily recommend this device to anyone who has difficulty sleeping. Helight offers a 60-night money back guarantee, making it a great opportunity to try with no risk. Whether you’d like a device for yourself, or you know someone who would benefit from a better night’s sleep, visit Helight today and see how red-light therapy can help you sleep better.

It’s an important awareness that sleep disorders affect a significant number of people, and the challenges of modern life, such as tight deadlines and screen time, contribute to disrupted sleep patterns. Your mention of red-light therapy as a potential solution is intriguing. The impact of blue light on melatonin production is well-documented, so exploring alternatives like red-light therapy for better sleep quality is a valuable approach.

Huh. I’m a bit skeptical about this, since I know from my years of reptile-keeping that red light (despite what pet stores might tell you) can really disrupt their sleep. But it does sound like there’s something behind it–might have to check it out!
Her Digital Coffee says
That’s interesting, I never thought of the red light used for reptiles! I think this technology along with the timing protocol of only being on for 28 minutes makes it effective. Thanks for sharing!
