We’re all familiar with detox diets and cleanses for our bodies, but no one ever talks about a detox for the mind. Meditation teacher and international renowned speaker, Jacqui Lewis, shares a 14 day mind cleanse filled with practical and effective techniques to help you break free from mental clutter.

Lewis combines mental, physical, and spiritual practices to build clarity and reduce mental clutter. She describes this as a “two-week program to reset your mind. We’ll hit refresh, running your mind through a hot wash and rinse cycle. It’s like taking a huge basket of dirty clothes, washing them, letting them dry in the sun with a gentle breeze, and then inviting them back in, fresh, warm, and restored.”
The 14 Day Mind Cleanse focuses on adopting small healthy habits that will make a big difference in the long run. Some techniques in this 14 day cleanse include,
- Cleansing your mind with daily meditation
- Setting the stage for better, deeper sleep with an hour of powering down before bed
- Learning to stop multitasking and practice mindfulness
- Reframing your language around “busy”
- Curating and improving what you feed your mind
- Increasing your happiness by “joy-riding”
I enjoyed how simple yet effective these suggestions were, especially her tips on mediation, reducing screen time, and slowing down to embrace the present moment. I also loved the array of colors and quotes she shared in this book, I thought it resonated and added a special touch to each introduction. There’s also a section towards the end that asks interactive questions and encourages you to write down and reflect on your 14 day cleanse.
If you’re looking for a simple guide to follow when it comes to reducing anxiety, stress, and mental clutter, I highly recommend The 14 Day Mind Cleanse.
