This is yet another beautifully written biography by Michelle Obama. I dove into this book thinking it would focus more on self-help and sharing new tools to overcome uncertainty, but I found it touched more on personal stories from Michelle and those closest to her. The lessons are in the stories, versus it being a step by step guide. Nonetheless, it was still very enjoyable.
There were so many outstanding excerpts from this book, that I found myself highlighting something from every chapter. If you’re familiar with personal development and self-help books, you may not find the lessons in here profound, but Michelle has a beautiful way with words that regardless of what you know, it still makes you reflect on a deeper level. I believe the insight shared in this book will resonate and be very inspiring for many.
