I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by Mike Alvarez from CanvasRebel Magazine. Their mission is to create a space for artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs to tell their story. By giving small business owners, artists, and creatives in our communities a voice, it not only shows a tremendous amount of support, but it inspires others looking to get in the same space.
Through our conversations with thousands of small business owners, artists and creatives we noticed that there was a need for even more storytelling – stories about our business or career that we might share at dinner or over coffee, but that wouldn’t necessarily make it into our memoir at the end of our lives; stories that illustrate the nitty-gritty details of what it takes to be successful day to day, how to build and grow a client base, recruit, train and manage a team or generate a living from your art.

I was interviewed on the topic of creative pursuits. I was given the opportunity to share my personal story on how I learned my craft, what fuels my journey, what Her Digital Coffee is all about, and more. I had a great time sharing my personal journey with blogging and creating. It feels great knowing that my story can reach aspiring creators from around the world, because I know I would’ve loved to hear some of these stories when I was getting started.
I want to inspire others to enjoy, create, and have fun. Whatever your passion may be, I want people to know that there’s a space for them if they’re willing to step out of their comfort zone.
canvasrebel magazine, meet winnie.
It’s amazing how my love for magazines inspired me to start blogging, and now I’m being featured in one. What a crazy full circle moment! I’d like to thank each and every single one of you for your continued support. I hope my personal story inspires you to step out of your comfort zone and dive into what makes you happy. What fuels your journey? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Congratulations on your interview with RebelCanvas Magazine! How exciting!
I stumbled into blogging after wasting my time, paper and ink printing out a coupon that was only valid in the USA. I decided then and there if I ever found a coupon online that was valid in Canada, I would find someway to post it online for others to see. That was the beginning of my first blog – Coupons 4 Canada. I then ran across freebies and started a freebie blog, then giveaways etc.
Later, people from my village were complaining that our news was never covered by the papers in the neighbouring towns and I started my first location based ezine with a number of guest bloggers – Omemee Pigeon eFlyer.
When I moved to Northern Ontario and had to use public wifi , a jerk hacked my gmail account and locked me out of all my blogs and my adsense account by changing my password – can we say frustrating??
I still have not been able to regain access to my adsense account or years of hard work. Prayers and tips for restoration of access to my old accounts greatly appreciated.
Her Digital Coffee says
Thank you so much! I’m so sorry to hear about your accounts. Adsense can be tricky and I hope you find a way to recover them!
