Today, I’m highlighting the Pain Release line from Saje Wellness as they unveil their latest product, the Joint and Arthritis Cream. I’ll guide you through a comprehensive comparison, examining their ingredients, benefits, and usability to help you determine which product might be the perfect addition in your wellness routine to naturally soothe ailments.
Roll-Oil vs. Cream
Analgesic Roll-On This analgesic remedy is used topically to help relieve muscle aches and stiffness. You can use this product in multiple ways, such as applying it directly oil onto the affected area, diluting in carrier oil such as almond or jojoba oil before massaging into the skin, or adding a few drops into your bath.
Key ingredients: Marjoram (decreases inflammation), roman chamomile (relieves restlessness), and rosemary (promotes stimulation).
Available in… 6ml (only in their Pocket Farmacy bundle kits), 10ml ($33 CAD), and 30ml refill ($66 CAD).
Joint and Arthritis Cream This cream relieves aches and pains of muscles and joints such as backaches, sprains, and arthritis. It provides a cooling sensation and absorbs instantly into the skin without leaving behind a greasy or heavy residue. Apply a thin layer to affected area 3-4 times per day.
Key ingredients: Copaiba (blocks pain signals), marjoram (decreases inflammation), and peppermint (provides cooling relief).
Available in… 75ml ($38 CAD)
My Experience
For years, I’ve kept the Pain Release Roll On handy in my medicine cabinet. What I love about this product is that a little bit goes a long way. I’ve found that rolling the product onto store areas worked very well. Whenever my neck feels stiff from sleeping wrong or my back hurts, I can always count on Pain Release to do the job.
When I discovered that they released a new Pain Release in a cream product, I knew I had to give it a try. There are a few key differences in these two products, such as ingredients and of course the texture, but I wanted to test out which product would be more convenient to use.
After two weeks of using the Joint and Arthritis Cream, I can say that it’s my new favorite. It’s very easy to use, the lightweight formula absorbs instantly without leaving behind a sticky residue, and the scent is less noticeable than the roll-on essential oil.
The product directions state that only a very thin amount of cream is needed, which means that it will most likely last a lot longer than the 6 or 10ml roll-on oil. Although I love both scents, the cream contains peppermint which provides a comfortable cooling relief for sore areas.
You’ll love the Analgesic Roll-On if…
• You prefer a multi-use essential oil (e.g., use as massage oil or add in bath)
• You have time to massage and work the product thoroughly into the skin
• You want something small, easy, and convenient to carry around and travel with
You’ll love the Joint and Arthritis Cream if you…
• Want a product that’s quick and easy to use, no matter where you are
• Prefer a product that absorbs instantly without leaving behind an oily residue
• Don’t like the feeling of oils or any strong lingering scents
In conclusion, both products offer unique advantages depending on your needs. If you’re looking for a concentrated and multi-use product, the essential oil might be your choice. If you prefer a ready-to-use moisturizer that nourishes your skin while providing pain relief, the cream could be ideal. Which product would you see yourself trying? I’d love to know your preference!

An interesting read as to whether essential oil or cream works better for pain. For pain, I would rather go for a cream as that helps alleviate pain for me best! x
