Are you ready for a new take on your weekly reset routine? Besides sticking to your regular tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and dishes, you can incorporate a few easy and effective tasks into your weekly reset that will greatly enhance your productivity and help you stay on top of your goals.
By dedicating some time to these additional tasks, you can create a more organized, relaxed, and efficient environment. The best part of all is that it’ll only take a few extra minutes! Here are 9 easy weekly reset ideas you need to try.
1) Organize Your Inbox Nothing’s worse than the sight of a busy inbox filled with emails that you have to sift through, which is why it’s important to stay organized. Since we receive handfuls of emails each day, it’s a good idea to maintain your inbox weekly. This will not only help you locate emails quickly but also ensure that the important ones don’t slip through the cracks.
2) Unsubscribe from Junk In addition to organizing your inbox, another task that can make a significant difference is unsubscribing from junk mail. By eliminating unnecessary distractions and reducing the clutter in your inbox, you will be able to focus more on relevant content and avoid wasting time and space on irrelevant messages.
3) Delete Unused Files Now that your inbox is clear, it’s time to maintain our digital workspace on our computers. Clearing out outdated documents, photos, or any other files that are no longer needed not only frees up storage space but also makes it easier for you to find what you’re looking for when you need it.
4) Clear Your Devices and Socials According to Insider Intelligence, for the first time in 2022, US adults spent more time per day on their smartphones than watching TV. Besides clearing out old messages and deleting unused apps to free up space, we can extend that to our social media accounts by unfollowing accounts that don’t make us feel good, inspire, or uplift us.

5) Meal Prep Planning Meal prepping is beneficial for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and contributing to increased productivity during the week. I recommend saving recipes that you find during the week, so they’re easily accessible when it comes time to grocery shop. That way you’ll have a variety of options to choose from.
6) Declutter Your Drawers Go through your drawers each week to see what items you haven’t touched. For example, if you have 7 black pens and 10 note pads, you can keep 2 black pens and 2 note pads and decide whether you want to move the rest to a more productive location, store it elsewhere, or donate it.
7) Clean Out Your Bag and Pockets Our bags and pockets are known for accumulating miscellaneous items. Some of these items are important like business cards and receipts, while others are junk like Kleenex and food wrappers. By cleaning out your bag and pockets on a weekly basis, you can properly store important items and start the week off fresh.
8) Music and Podcasts If you’re a fan of music and podcasts you can use the weekend to discover new artists, songs, and content to consume for the week. You can even personalize your content by creating an uplifting and motivational playlist if you know you’ve got a long and stressful week ahead.
9) Update Your Workspace If you’re struggling to find motivation in your workspace, think about ways you can make it more productive and enjoyable. This can mean adding some color, light, or personal decorations. This can also mean getting rid of excess items on your desk and walls as well.
Set yourself up for success for the week to come by including these easy tasks to your to-do list. You’ll enjoy the benefits of increased efficiency in achieving your goals and a calmer workspace to get stuff done. What’s on your weekly reset list? I’d love to know!
