MY Kind of Silk was founded in New York City. After the owners experienced high quality silk for the first time in Asia, they wanted to continue to experience that at home. They soon found that options in the States were too costly and often low in quality. Thus, MYK Silk was born.

They aim to provide high quality silk at a fair and reasonable price point for all to experience. Their products are OEKO-TEX 100 Certified, meaning every thread, button, and accessory is tested for harmful substances. MYK Silk products are 100% safe and made from pure mulberry silk, which is hypoallergenic, breathable, durable, and most importantly, chemical free.

The Products

MYK Silk was kind enough to send me their long PJ set, a pillowcase, and an eye mask. Their pillowcase is a standard size and comes in many different colors. Sleeping on natural silk helps lock in your skin’s moisture, prevents irritation, breakouts, and wrinkles. I live in a dry climate and it’s crucial to take care of your skin, especially during the cooler seasons.

The silk eye mask was so soft and gentle around my eyes. It effectively blocked out light which helped me get a better night’s rest. I did find that it lost its shape after the first wash, but it’s nothing an iron can’t fix.

Lastly, the PJ set was so comfortable. It was lightweight, breathable, and kept me warm all night long. The wonderful thing about silk is that it’s a great insulating barrier. It can keep you cool during hot nights and warm during cold nights!  

The only downside to silk products is that it’s obviously very delicate. I found washing these items to be a bit tedious along with ironing afterwards, but it’s worth the extra effort for self-care nights or whenever you want a luxurious touch to your evening routine.

    These MYK Silk products sound fantastic. Maybe I’ll buy something for my OH. (I have some reservations about buying anything for myself – I’m not a gentle soul and fear I may damage anything that is delicate! 😉 )
